Youth Mission Trip to Camp JBURG 2013

JBURG SignThis summer 13 youth and 2 adults from FRPC went to Camp Johnsonburg to take place in our 4th annual mission trip. The team spent the mornings clearing and marking trails, splitting wood, hauling construction materials down a mountain, and cleaning up a construction site.  The group worked mornings and spent the afternoon enjoying camp activities including: high ropes, archery, swimming, hiking, dawn at the lake, labyrinth walks and camp worship.

This was a great group and all the youth really worked hard. We got a lot more done this P1000235year than we have any other year, thanks to everyone’s hard work. Each night we had a bible study on the topic of Grace for the Journey which is the camp’s summer spiritual theme for this year. The youth also got to participate in a modern worship service with the campers.

The youth group kids and the FRPC youth leadership team is grateful to all of the P1020781members of Forked River Presbyterian Church for your GENEROUS support; both financially and in positive spirit. We are supported by Pastor Terry and Bonnie Slocum. We received, as usual, supplies purchased by Kate Mason. Lastly we are grateful to the parents of our youth for trusting us with their children and transporting them to camp.
